Stephanie and Tom’s love story began in Staten Island, NY — their hometown and the place that unknowingly set the stage for a decade-long journey. They first crossed paths over 10 years ago when Stephanie was an EMT and Tom was a young NYPD officer. One day, on a call, he asked for her number, but the timing just wasn’t right. Life moved on, and so did they — not knowing that destiny had more in store.

Years later, one ordinary night turned extraordinary. A cop friend of Stephanie’s stopped by her apartment, and instead of showing up with his usual partner, he brought along a familiar stranger. When she opened the door and saw Tom, it was love at first sight (so corny, but TRUE!) They talked for hours, laughed, and shared stories, completely forgetting anyone else was in the room — even her dog, Mabel, immediately approved! Just as they were leaving for a call, she caught a glimpse of his badge. That’s when it hit her — she knew that last name!

From that night on, everything changed. Three months later, Stephanie jokingly asked him, “Do you live here now?” when she realized he hadn’t really gone home since. They shared that tiny apartment full of laughter and love before taking a big step — buying a cozy log cabin together in beautiful Orange County, NY.

Then came January 2025 — a night Stephanie will never forget. What she thought was a family member's birthday party in North Bergen, NJ turned into the biggest surprise of her life. Dressed in leopard print (very Italian, of course), she arrived to find a red carpet surrounded by candles and her favorite flowers! With the Manhattan skyline behind them, Tom proposed in a private ceremony with the most beautiful ring she’d ever seen!

What started as missed timing turned into perfect timing. From their little Staten Island apartment to their log cabin retreat, they’ve built a life rooted in love, laughter, and late-night snuggles with all of their animals. They can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of their journey with you!
